Experience : 7 to 10 years
Location : Pune and Bangalore
Technical Skills required:
1. Understanding of Performance Testing Concepts:
Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies, types (load testing, stress testing, volume testing, endurance testing), and performance metrics (throughput, response time, resource utilization).
2. Performance Testing Tools:
Proficiency in performance testing tools such as:
Load Testing Tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, Gatling.
APM Tools: Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics for monitoring and analyzing application performance.
Backend Load Testing Tools: Apache Bench (ab), k6 for HTTP load testing.
3. Scripting Skills:
Ability to create and modify test scripts using languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, or proprietary scripting languages supported by performance testing tools.
4. Familiarity with Programming and Scripting:
Basic coding skills to enhance the capability of writing automated test scripts and to facilitate debugging and extending performance tests.
5. Understanding of System Architecture:
Knowledge of client-server architecture, web servers, application servers, and databases to understand how performance can be impacted.
6. Monitoring and Analysis:
Experience with performance monitoring tools to analyze system performance metrics (CPU, memory usage, network IO, etc.) before, during, and after testing.
7. Database Performance Testing:
Understanding database performance testing concepts and ability to execute queries to assess database performance.
8. Virtualization and Cloud Computing:
Familiarity with virtualization tools (e.g., Docker, Vagrant) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for simulating environments that mimic production scenarios.
Analytical Skills:
1. Data Interpretation:
Strong analytical skills to interpret results from performance tests, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable insights for optimization.
2. Problem Solving:
Ability to diagnose issues, analyze root causes of performance problems, and recommend appropriate solutions.
Experience Required:
1. Work Experience:
Typically requires 2-5 years of experience in performance testing or a related field.
Experience in software development or application support can also be beneficial.
