Job Description

Image interpretation:

Reading and analyzing medical images from X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other technologies to identify abnormalities and provide diagnoses.

Consultation:

Working with other physicians, such as surgeons and oncologists, to discuss findings and help formulate treatment plans.

Patient and physician communication:

Explaining imaging results to patients and families and providing detailed written reports to referring physicians.

Interventional procedures:

Performing image-guided procedures like biopsies, drain placements, or minimally invasive surgeries.

Treatment planning:

Recommending further testing or treatment options based on the results of the imaging studies.

Quality and safety assurance:

Ensuring patient safety by following radiation protection protocols, and maintaining the quality of diagnostic services.

Administration and supervision:

Overseeing radiology staff, managing departmental resources, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Can perform Fetal Echo also.
