About Devaki Neuropsychiatry Hospital Devaki Neuropsychiatry Hospital is a leading mental health center based in Amritsar, expanding its footprint to Pathankot in April 2026. We specialize in holistic psychiatric care, psychological therapies, and rehabilitation through a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, speech therapists, and support staff. The Pathankot branch will replicate our established Amritsar model -- focused on ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and compassionate treatment.
The Consultant Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing clinical psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for both outpatient and inpatient cases. The role involves active collaboration with the therapy team to ensure comprehensive mental health care and support to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
? Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning.
? Manage OPD, IPD, and Daycare psychiatric cases, ensuring evidence-based treatment and ethical practice.
? Prescribe medications, monitor treatment progress, and modify management plans as required.
? Supervise psychologists, speech therapists, and nursing staff to ensure cohesive patient management.
Maintain accurate patient documentation in the Healthray HIMS (Hospital Information Management System).
? Communicate empathetically with patients and families regarding diagnosis and treatment.
? Participate in hospital awareness drives, case discussions, and educational sessions.
? Support the team in de-addiction, child psychiatry, and counseling programs as required.
? Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and patient respect.
