Job Description

Job Objective : The mandate of BBNL is to provide high speed Broadband to all Gram Panchyats and to provide access to Bandwidth in non- discriminatory manner to all eligible service providers under BharatNet Project. The person shall be responsible for monitoring and management of entire BharatNet Project. The candidate is expected to bring the best Project management practices related to processes, documentation, reporting etc. and work with all internal and external stakeholders.




Skills :

Desired Skills & Experience. 1.Experience in and sound understanding of computer infrastructure projects and the various activities that are part of the projec2.Well versed in working wit scientific project management techniques and algorithms such as WBS, PERT, CPM etc. 3.Hands-on experience on various project management software tools as well a proprietary tools like Primavera and MS Project4.Good Communication skills (Both written & Oral)




Qualifications :


Education
Essential Criteria
1.MBA/PG in Management
2.Valid PMP/Prince2 certification
3.Min 7 years of experience.

Role and Responsibilities of the Consultant include: 1.Responsible to work with BBNL, implementation agencies and other stakeholders to suggest and work on tools for effective project monitoring2.Interact with the implementation agencies regarding the project status and deliverables 3.Apply work breakdown structure (WBS), project evaluation and review techniques (PERT), Critical Path Method (CPM) and other suitable techniques to the BharatNet Project. Assign realistic timelines to various activities/milestones in the WBS and analyze various aspects of the project and provide reports. 4.Identify project risk and suggest rectification measures.5.Identify and use best project management tools including both proprietary and open source to implement the best project management techniques.
