: Consultant ( OS Commerce )

What is the work?

Lead the implementation and configuration of OS Commerce solutions for clients, including designing, developing, and deploying custom features, themes, and modules. Work with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into effective OS Commerce solutions. Customize OS Commerce templates and design themes according to client specifications. Provide guidance on e-commerce best practices, optimizing product catalogs, shopping cart workflows, and customer checkout experiences. Advise on SEO, digital marketing, and overall strategies to increase site traffic and conversion rates. Integrate OS Commerce with third-party systems such as payment gateways, CRM tools, ERP systems, and shipping providers. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues as they arise. Optimize site speed and server performance to ensure that OS Commerce sites run efficiently under high traffic conditions. Conduct performance audits and make recommendations for improvements. Provide ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting support for OS Commerce websites. Monitor and ensure that updates, patches, and security fixes are applied in a timely manner. Document workflows, technical configurations, and customizations for future reference. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience in working with OS Commerce platform and its ecosystem. Solid understanding of e-commerce workflows, payment systems, and shopping cart functionality. Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with SQL databases, server-side configurations, and debugging. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in a client-facing or consultancy role is a plus. Experience with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce) is a bonus. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge of web security practices and data protection regulations (GDPR, PCI DSS). Experience working in Agile development environments.
