About the Opportunity:


We are inviting applications from skilled and compassionate

Orthopedic Surgeons

to join our advanced Super Speciality Hospital in Junagadh. The role is best suited for professionals with hands-on expertise in managing trauma, fractures, joint replacements, and general orthopedic conditions. You will be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering precision-driven care across outpatient, inpatient, and surgical services.
This is a key position for an orthopedic surgeon eager to contribute meaningfully to a hospital known for its ethical practices, patient-centric care, and advanced infrastructure. The hospital supports continuing medical education and provides a platform for clinical excellence and innovation.

Core Responsibilities:

Surgical & Clinical Care


Perform orthopedic surgeries, including trauma fixation, complex fracture repair, joint replacements (hip, knee, shoulder), and soft tissue procedures.
Independently manage orthopedic emergencies, trauma cases, dislocations, and accident-related injuries.
Assess and treat patients in OPD settings with musculoskeletal conditions like arthritis, ligament injuries, and sports-related injuries.
Manage in-patient orthopedic care with a focus on surgical preparation, intra-operative decisions, and post-operative recovery protocols.

Patient Engagement & Education


Communicate clearly with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical plans, and rehabilitation pathways.
Provide detailed guidance on post-surgical precautions, lifestyle modifications, physiotherapy, and pain management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration


Work closely with radiology, physiotherapy, anesthesia, critical care, and emergency departments for integrated treatment planning.
Participate in case discussions, surgical audits, and clinical rounds to ensure consistency in quality of care.

On-Call & Emergency Coverage


Be available for scheduled on-call duties and respond promptly to orthopedic emergencies as per rotation.

Documentation & Compliance


Maintain accurate patient records, surgical documentation, discharge summaries, and operative reports.
Follow infection control protocols and hospital safety regulations to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

MBBS with MS/DNB in Orthopedics from a recognized institution.

Licensing:

Valid registration with MCI or State Medical Council.

Experience:

At least 2 years of independent surgical experience post-MS/DNB in a hospital setting.

Surgical Skills:

Proficiency in trauma care, joint replacements (especially hip and knee), and orthopedic emergencies.

Clinical Acumen:

Strong diagnostic skills in managing orthopedic conditions conservatively and surgically.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, empathy, and ability to counsel patients and their caregivers.

Team Fit:

Capable of working in a high-paced, multidisciplinary environment with a commitment to team collaboration.

Preferred Attributes:


Exposure to arthroscopic procedures or fellowship in joint replacement/trauma care is a plus.
Experience in community outreach programs, orthopedic camps, or rural trauma support.
Willingness to contribute to academic and skill development initiatives within the department.
