Job Description

Conducting comprehensive eye exams:

Assessing visual acuity, examining eye structures, and identifying potential problems.

Diagnosing and treating eye diseases and disorders:

Identifying conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and infections, and prescribing appropriate treatments.

Performing surgical procedures:

Conducting cataract surgery and other ophthalmic surgeries.

Prescribing corrective lenses:

Recommending and prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Providing patient education:

Educating patients on eye health, preventive measures, and managing chronic conditions.

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals:

Working with optometrists, nurses, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Staying up-to-date with advancements in ophthalmology:

Continuously learning about new techniques and treatments.

Operating and maintaining specialized equipment:

Ensuring proper functioning of diagnostic and surgical equipment.
