We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Consultant with a specialization in PET-CT reporting to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the interpretation, analysis, and reporting of PET-CT scans, contributing to the diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of a diverse range of oncologic, neurological, and cardiac conditions. The consultant will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Perform the interpretation, analysis, and reporting of PET-CT studies for a wide variety of clinical indications, including oncology, neurology, and cardiology.
Correlate PET-CT findings with other imaging modalities (CT, MRI) and clinical information to provide comprehensive and accurate reports.
Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to referring physicians and other healthcare professionals in a timely manner.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings (e.g., tumor boards) to contribute to patient management decisions.
Ensure adherence to national and international guidelines and protocols for PET-CT imaging and reporting.
Maintain a high level of expertise in PET-CT technology, radiopharmaceuticals, and clinical applications.
Contribute to the development and optimization of PET-CT protocols and procedures.
Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs to ensure the highest standards of image quality and patient safety.
Provide consultation and advice to other medical staff on the appropriate use of PET-CT imaging.
Participate in clinical research activities and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of PET-CT.
Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, technologists, and other personnel, as appropriate.
Participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities to maintain and enhance professional competence.
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to radiation safety and patient confidentiality.
