About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant MD Biochemist to join our team. The Consultant MD Biochemist will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing laboratory operations, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of diagnostic tests, and providing expert guidance on biochemical analyses.

What You'll Do?
1. Oversee Laboratory Operations
Manage all aspects of laboratory workflow, including personnel, equipment, and resources.
Ensure adherence to quality control standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintain regulatory compliance across all laboratory functions.
2. Lead Development & Validation of Tests
Develop and validate new biochemical assays and diagnostic tests.
Ensure testing protocols meet scientific and regulatory standards.
Evaluate new methodologies to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
3. Implement & Maintain Quality Assurance Programs
Monitor accuracy, precision, and reliability of test results.
Conduct regular audits, proficiency testing, and process checks.
Identify and correct deviations to uphold laboratory quality standards.
4. Collaborate on Research & Innovation
Work with internal research teams and external partners on new biomarkers and technologies.
Explore innovative diagnostic methodologies to advance laboratory services.
Support translational research projects and implementation of novel assays.
5. Staff Training & Professional Development
Develop and deliver training programs on biochemical testing principles and best practices.
Educate laboratory staff, clinicians, and stakeholders on emerging technologies.
Mentor junior staff to build technical expertise and operational excellence.
6. Process Optimization & Regulatory Compliance
Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and workflow efficiency.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including CLIA, CAP, and FDA guidelines.
Participate in accreditation and inspection processes as required.
Skills Required for the role:
MD in Biochemistry or PhD in Biochemistry from a recognized institution with a valid medical license.
1-3 years of hands-on experience in clinical or diagnostic biochemistry.
Strong diagnostic, analytical, and interpretive skills for accurate test evaluation.
Exceptional attention to detail and precision in reviewing and reporting results.
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with clinicians, laboratory staff, and other stakeholders.
