The Flight Test Engineer B1 - assists with test execution on an agile or waterfall project, focusing on the creation or execution of automated test scripts for basic/low complexity projects, assists in the development of the test strategy as a quality champion on the team, identifies acceptance criteria, and may define the test conditions when stories or requirements are created.

Job Responsibilities

In an agile/scrum environment, may:
1.Execute practical application of Agile framework components (user stories, scrum, sprints, etc.).
2.Participate in Scrum, Daily Stand-up, Sprint and iterative development activities –learning to take on any role within the Agile team
3.Participate in Sprint planning and release planning
4.Participate in backlog refinement
5.Provide input into acceptance criteria when stories are created
For activities related to Test Management, may:
1.Decompose business requirements to be able to write effective acceptance criteria and automated test scripts for basic/low complexity projects
2.Provide input into an iterative test strategy, develop test strategy for basic/low complexity projects
3.Execute test cases within the Functional, Mobile, or Web Services Automation framework
4.Provide input into environment needs for basic/low complexity projects
5.Provide input into software quality via continuous and iterative testing approach
6.Understand and escalate issues related to the test infrastructure
7.Participate in an environment where a Test Driven Development behavior is fostered
8.Create automated scripts that support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline
9.Apply Testing Lifecycle Management principles in the context of a product
10.Identify and communicate testing-related Defects/Issues/Risks
11.Report test metrics utilizing standard reporting formats
12.Possess technical competency to interact with application developers to ensure software quality

Primary Skills

Essential Skills:-

• Experience constructing test plans and executing these plans across functional, regression and system testing
• Practical experience with at least one of the following areas: Java,Selenium,
• Basic Knowledge and understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using test management tools (e.g. HPQC, Jira – Zephyr)
• Experience with Source Code Management Tools (e.g. Git, TFS, RTC)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Web Services in relation to software testing
• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytical ability
