Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced consultant specializing in histology to support the design, setup, and operationalization of a full histology laboratory.
Key responsibilities:
Advise on the design and layout of a state-of-the-art histology facility.
Recommend and specify necessary equipment and consumables.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and microscopy.
Train laboratory staff on best practices and quality control.
Ensure the facility complies with all relevant safety and quality standards.
Provide ongoing support during the initial operational phase.
Requirements:
Extensive hands-on experience in histology, including facility setup and workflow optimization.
Proven track record of consulting or leading histology lab implementations.
Strong knowledge of laboratory safety, quality assurance, and accreditation requirements.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Educational Background
:
M.Sc., PhD, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Histology, Pathology, Biomedical Science, or a related life sciences discipline from a recognized institution.
Professional Experience
:
Minimum 8-10 years of hands-on experience in histology laboratory operations, including experience setting up and managing histopathology facilities.
Proven track record of consulting or leading the implementation of new histology labs, preferably in research or clinical settings.

Strong organizational and project management abilities.
