Dr. Kennedy Saraswathy Hospital, Madipakkam is seeking a caring, skilled Gynecologist/Obstetrician to join our women's health team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, perform deliveries and common gynecologic procedures, and work closely with nursing staff to deliver patient-centred care.
Key responsibilities
Provide outpatient consultations for gynecology and antenatal care.
Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, antenatal counselling and follow-up.
Conduct deliveries (vaginal and assisted) and perform Cesarean sections as required.
Diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions (e.g., infections, fibroids, abnormal bleeding).
Perform minor and common major gynecologic procedures (hysteroscopy, D&C, sterilization, etc.) as per hospital scope.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure timely documentation.
Participate in on-call rota for obstetric emergencies and labour room coverage.
Counsel patients on family planning, contraceptive options and postpartum care.
Coordinate with neonatology, anaesthesia and OT teams for safe maternal care.
Contribute to quality improvement, audits and CME/training activities.
Qualifications & experience
MBBS with recognized postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology (MD/DGO/DNB)
