We are seeking a

qualified and experienced Gynaecologist

to join our dynamic medical team at Meditrina Hospital, Kollam. The ideal candidate should possess excellent clinical expertise in managing both obstetric and gynaecological cases, including high-risk pregnancies, infertility issues, and minimally invasive procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Provide full-spectrum care in

Obstetrics & Gynaecology

, including outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and delivery services. Diagnose and treat gynaecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, fibroids, endometriosis, infertility, and other reproductive health issues. Manage

normal and complicated pregnancies

, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care. Perform

obstetric and gynaecological surgeries

, including caesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures, and other relevant interventions. Handle

emergency obstetric cases

and ensure prompt and effective clinical decision-making. Provide patient education on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive health measures. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and hospital policies. Collaborate with paediatricians, anaesthetists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in clinical audits, case discussions, and continuous medical education sessions. Contribute to the implementation of

NABH standards

and departmental quality initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification:

MD / MS / DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from a recognized medical institution.

Experience:

Minimum

3 years of post-qualification experience

in a reputed hospital. Proficiency in handling both routine and high-risk obstetric cases. Competence in performing laparoscopic and open gynaecological surgeries (preferred). Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction and teamwork. Compassionate, ethical, and patient-focused approach to clinical practice. Willingness to participate in on-call duties, emergency coverage, and hospital training programs.
