Aasraa Trust was established in 2009 to work with society's most underprivileged and vulnerable children from the streets and slums of Dehradun. Aasraa is not just a charity but a vehicle for empowerment through education, skills training, and nutrition, healthcare and shelter homes. Starting with street level mobilization, Aasraa uses a multi-faced approach that prepares children for mainstream education and transition to higher studies and skills training.
Aasraa is certified by National Institute of Open Schooling and works with the education department of Uttarakhand to improve the quality of education at 9-government school in Dehradun. Aasraa is also implementing a Girl Education Program in four girls Inter Collages in Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. Aasraa has built shelters for orphaned, abandoned, abused and special needs children.
Aasraa started 15 years ago with 35 children and it now supports over 11000 children from the streets and slums across 80 projects in Dehradun district.
Purpose of the Job
- To equip students with the skills, knowledge, and expertise required in the food and beverage industry by delivering professional training programs and hands-on sessions at Aasraa Trust's Skillability Center.
Objective of the role
Develop and deliver comprehensive training modules in food and beverage operations. Enhance students' employability in the hospitality sector through practical and theoretical training.

Key Responsibilities
1. Design and implement training programs for food and beverage operations, including customer service, food preparation, and hygiene practices.
2. Conduct practical sessions for students to develop their skills in serving techniques, beverage preparation, and food presentation.
3. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations during training.
4. Provide industry insights and updates to ensure the training curriculum remains relevant and up-to-date.
5. Evaluate student progress through assessments, assignments, and performance reviews.
6. Organize workshops, guest lectures, and field visits to enhance industry exposure for students.
7. Guide and mentor students in developing professional attitudes, communication skills, and work ethics suitable for the hospitality industry.
8. Maintain records of student attendance, progress, and feedback for management review.
Note: Additional smaller coordination-related tasks may arise based on the Trust's requirements.
Education and Experience requirements
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene is preferred.
Core experience
At least 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry or as a trainer in hospitality education. Hands-on experience in restaurant or hotel operations is desirable.
Preferable Knowledge/Experience
Expertise in food preparation, serving techniques, and beverage preparation. Knowledge of current trends and standards in the food and beverage industry.

: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), Proficiency in using kitchen and service equipment.
Behavioral competencies:
Patience and adaptability to work with diverse student groups.
