Job Description


As a Workstream Program Manager, you will collaborate with various project managers to oversee and execute multi-year workstreams comprising sub-projects spanning academic materials, teacher development, mentoring programs, system assessments, monitoring, fellow management, district accelerator programs, and central team projects.

This dynamic role involves extensive engagement with government stakeholders, district officials, teachers, and partner organizations, and provides a unique opportunity to contribute to large-scale educational reform and gain hands-on experience in implementing workstreams from conception to widespread execution.

Responsibilities:

Academic Materials and School-based Assessments:

- Collaborate with academic partners and state bodies to design comprehensive materials.

- Manage procurement, printing, and delivery processes.

- Iterate design based on field feedback.

Teacher Professional Development:

- Design training materials in collaboration with state training groups.

- Ensure successful training cascades for all teachers, design and manage a digital training calendar

Mentoring Programs for Teachers:

- Identify and train mentors.

- Implement a school visit protocol with an app-based observation tool

System Assessment of Outcomes:

- Develop learning outcome frameworks.

- Design assessment items in collaboration with state resource groups.

- Develop and oversee the use of an app for assessors.

Monitoring System:

- Develop a monitoring framework and manage vendor relationships.

- Field-test tech tools and oversee their launch.

- Train stakeholders in data collection and generate monthly reports.

Managing Fellow\'s Projects:

- Support Fellow placements through induction sessions.

- Manage daily/weekly progress of Fellows.

- Collaborate with the state mission director to troubleshoot challenges.

Delivering District Accelerator Programs:

- Collaborate with CDO and CEO to improve mission activity adoption.

- Execute governance structure enhancements and capacity-building programs.

Delivering Central Team Projects:

- Collaborate with the central team lead for monitoring and analysis.

- Support talent acquisition, retention projects, and performance management.

- Assist in fundraising and donor management activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor\'s degree required; master\'s degree preferred.

- 2 to 6 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a government entity.

- Strong project delivery and management track record.

- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.

- Action-oriented with excellent planning and prioritization abilities.

- Ability to build positive relationships with government stakeholders.

- Exposure to the education sector preferred.

- Willingness to be based at the state site with regular travel to Delhi and different districts.
