Job Overview:

General Mills India team virtually caters to multiple plants, warehouses and several business teams / groups in US. The primary role will include leading the Service management process along with Replenishment & Network management responsibilities.

  • The individual will work on identifying & communicating potential risk/opportunities that impact divisional case-fill targets while assessing the impact on Inventory/Transportation/Warehousing Costs. The Lead will collaborate with other planning teams (Demand/Supply) to proactively call-out service risks and minimize the impact on overall case-fill targets.
Incumbent will be responsible for Replenishment of inventory in network for a specific business along with SPOC responsibilities of particular CSF/Overflow/Age of the region/OU his/her manager is accountable for.

Process excellence:

\xc2\xa7 Service Lead

o Provide regular communication updates on key performance metrics (case fill goals, service issues,etc) to the business stakeholders

o Work proactively with the Logistics Planning (Demand/Supply) and Network Operations team (transportation/warehousing) to identify current/future service risk, potential impact and communicate broadly to the appropriate stakeholders

o Populate weekly service sheet working with India deployers, schedulers and demand planners & Lead divisional Service meetings across the India-US Logistics teams

o Ensure meeting follow-ups, clearly identifying ownership and accountability of service-related issues with respective stakeholders

o Identify root cause issues for service trends

o Participate in divisional business meeting ( across India/US )

o Collaborate across supply chain teams ( DP, Scheduling, Customer service, Warehousing, Transportation, Plants etc. ) to identify and implement implement information and production flow improvements

o Develop knowledge and expertise in General Mills planning systems ( SAP APO, Inventory Analust, Terra DS etc. )

o Send inventory report for prioritization process

\xc2\xa7 Distribution Planning

o Develop Distribution plans for North America GMI Operations by working with the Supply Chain Planning systems (SAP ERP, APO etc.)

o Ensure smooth supply chain execution for the assigned SC processes by meeting and exceeding KPI metrics (ex-Inventory DOS etc.) while optimizing overall SCM costs

o Identify SAP enhancement opportunities to overcome operational challenges

\xc2\xa7 CSF/Plant SPOC

o Act as a Single Point Of Contact from Deployment for Plant Planners for an assigned Overflow / CSF

o Update Load Levelling tool on rotational basis and send communication to Deployment team

o Assess the site situation with the help of various tool (Tableau, IPD) / Information (upstream / other Replenishment calls) and inform about the same in Load Levelling huddles

o Provide Load prioritization or build loads based on outbound capacity

o In event of CSF Gridlock situations, work with deployers & transportation team to spread / cancel / divert loads.

o Review initialized requistions going into assigned CSF to identify SKU\xe2\x80\x99s with high DOS, that needs postponement upstream hold or overflow strategy

Continuous Improvement:

o Build Architectural solutions through Automation, Standardization, Lean approach etc.

o Build sustainable and order winning solutions for the problems

o Collaborate across with various team to implement defined solutions

o Develop and implement repeatable and scalable models

o Perform external competitive benchmarking and analysis.

Lead Cost savings initiatives

Ensure 100% compliance against the practices i.e. training, documentation and reporting

Lead ideation and drive implementation to deliver to site goals

Develop sustainable tools for the capabilities

Train and Coach team members

Support around Weekly Direction Setting (WDS)

Education

Minimum Degree Requirements:

Bachelors

Preferred Major Area of Study:

Operations / Supply Chain

Preferred Professional Certifications:

APICS \xe2\x80\x93 CSCP, PMP,SAP certification (Functional)

Experience

Minimum years of related experience required:

6 years of relevant Supply Chain experience or 2 years of North America deployment experience compulsory.

Preferred years of related experience:

8 Years
