Job Title: SRE Engineer
Position Responsibilities:
Implement SRE and DevSecOps standards including tool adoption, implement automation and build monitoring & alerting
Support product teams to build/improve SRE resilience in their applications
Facilitate post-mortems, SLO reviews and effective change and incident management
Support and develop automation solutions that enable product teams to build and deploy code efficiently and consistently
Ensure that applications have reliability and availability appropriate for customer needs
Pair and Mob with product team engineers to implement patterns, standards
Work with product teams to help them leverage the available SRE products & Obervability platform
Position Qualifications:
6+ years of overall experience in Information Technology
Minimum 3+ years of experience using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, DataDog, Thanos, ElasticSearch, or others for monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting distributed systems
Hands on development experience (any modern programming language)
Hands-on experience with modern DevSecOps concepts and tools such as CI/CD and incident management
Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, application monitoring, and cloud deployment practices
Experience designing APIs and consuming APIs
Experience designing, writing, and troubleshooting software and systems in a distributed environment
Experience in troubleshooting application and performance issues
Ability to build relationships and work with multiple teams
Good communications skills - ability to engage in deep technical discussions and provide recommendations & share best practices.
Ability to quickly learn new SRE tools
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Nice-to-Have Skills/Experience:
Prior experience in projects utilizing Pivotal Cloud Foundry and the Spring framework.
Expertise in API related technologies such as SOAP, JSON, XML, REST, Swagger, RAML, Postman, and WSDL
Knowledge in Kubernetes/ Docker
Experience with Kanban, TDD or XP methodology and practices
Prior experience coaching/mentoring teams
Experience consuming both REST and SOAP web services
Prior experience working with project management software such Pivotal Tracker, Jira, or Rally
Critical thinking, Driven and self-motivated

To ensure positive customer feedback and satisfaction thorugh active participation in customer meetings to understand any issues faced (3.) To validate Change Order Implementation Plan and Human Error Compliance and participate in Capacity planning (4.) To perform value addition activities (such as mentoring administratorsorteam members, preparing SOPs, maintaining effective documentation simultaneously and Knowledge sharing.) In addition act as a liaison to the business segment, facilitating effective communication and presentation to key business stakeholders as and when required. (5.) To ensure on-time resolution and quality compliance of escalated ticketsorincident as per the agreed SLA
