API Testing & Java Selenium Automation
We are seeking a motivated Consultant with strong
expertise
in API testing and Selenium automation using Java to contribute to our QA automation efforts. The ideal candidate will help design and implement robust test automation frameworks, execute API and UI test cases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and
maintain
automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java for web applications.
Perform comprehensive API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
Develop and execute RESTful API test cases
validating
functionality, reliability, and performance.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo, or equivalent).
Analyze
test results, log defects, and verify fixes.
Maintain test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and test reports.
Troubleshoot automation failures and suggest improvements.
Support Agile ceremonies and provide
timely
status updates.

Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficient in Java programming and Selenium WebDriver automation framework.
Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent tools.
Strong knowledge of REST API concepts, HTTP methods, JSON
, XML
.
Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and version control systems (Git).
Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork
abilities

Preferred qualifications
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution in a collaborative team environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership experience, including leading teams, managing projects, and driving technical initiatives to successful completion.
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., ISTQB, Java certifications) are a plus.
