Key Responsibilities1. Daily Site Coordination
Coordinate and supervise day-to-day construction activities.
Ensure the work progress aligns with the project schedule.
Assist site engineers with planning and executing tasks.
Maintain smooth communication between management, contractors, and laborers.
2. Contractor & Labor Management
Assign tasks and track work progress of masons, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and laborers.
Ensure contractors follow quality standards and meet deadlines.
Handle attendance, manpower planning, and workforce discipline.
3. Material Management
Track daily material usage (cement, bricks, steel, sand, tiles, electrical materials, plumbing items, etc.).
Raise material requests and coordinate with suppliers.
Ensure materials are received in the correct quantity and quality.
Maintain proper stock records and daily consumption reports.
4. Quality & Safety Monitoring
Ensure work is carried out as per drawings, method statements, and safety guidelines.
Report any safety hazards or non-conformance issues immediately.
Monitor curing, shuttering, reinforcement, plastering, flooring, electrical, and plumbing works.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily work progress reports (DPR).
Maintain site photos, attendance sheets, material logs, and contractor records.
Report issues, delays, and requirements to the Project Manager.
Update weekly planning and work completion reports.
6. Communication & Coordination
Assist in coordinating between architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
Support in scheduling site meetings and preparing minutes of meetings (MOM).
Ensure the site is organized, clean, and following safety & quality standards.
Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills
Basic knowledge of civil construction activities (concreting, brickwork, plastering, formwork, electrical, plumbing, tiling, painting).
Ability to read simple drawings (floor plans, elevations).
Knowledge of material calculation & tracking.
Education
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (preferred, not mandatory).
Candidates with 2-8 years of construction site experience also accepted.
