Petrochemicals: Adani Group is making significant strides in the petrochemical landscape with the establishment of its inaugural petrochemical complex, named Green PVC. This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.
Job Purpose: The Construction Refractory Lead - PETCHEM is responsible for strategically overseeing and driving the planning, execution, and monitoring of refractory jobs within the Calcium Carbide and VCM units. This role ensures that all refractory activities are completed in accordance with established schedules, safety standards, and quality requirements. Focuses on optimizing refractory processes to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency. The individual will coordinate with internal teams and external contractors, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Construction Refractory Lead-PETCHEM
Project Coordination and Execution:
Achieve seamless project execution and meet quality standards (API/ISO/ASTM) by leading multidisciplinary coordination efforts across all GPVC plants, including Calcium Carbide furnaces, Semi Coke dryers, Lime Kilns, and the Incinerator.
Minimize delays and optimize resource use by developing and executing detailed schedules for refractory activities.
Ensure defect-free execution by reviewing and validating drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), BD (Basic Design), BE (Budget Estimate), DE (Detailed Engineering), and project schedules.
Maintain project alignment and resolve technical and material issues by leading TQR (Technical Query Review), TBR (Technical Bid Review), and material requisitions.
Quality and Compliance Management:
Deliver defect-free refractory activities by adhering to approved methodologies, procedures, specifications, codes (API/ISO/ASTM) and by implementing quality improvements and robust inspection processes.
Certify commissioning and dry-out processes by ensuring accurate documentation and meeting warranty requirements.
Resource Optimization:
Enhance workforce productivity by managing manpower effectively.
Achieve cost savings and minimize wastage by monitoring material consumption against BOM while maintaining quality.
Safety Leadership:
Enforce a culture of safety excellence by adhering to ADANI HSE standards, conducting safety drills, and implementing protocols for high-risk activities.
Ensure strict compliance with confined space and work-at-height safety protocols to minimize risks.
Vendor and Contract Management:
Drive cost optimization and contract performance by ensuring alignment with financial targets and validating contractor billing.
Maintain accurate records for successful contract closure and implement measures to enhance vendor performance.
Team Management:
Build and lead a high-performing team to deliver on project goals, foster collaboration, and ensure alignment with organizational standards.

Qualifications:
Educational Qualification:
Essential: Diploma / Degree in Ceramic / Civil Engineering
Work Experience (Range of years):
7-12 years experience in execution of various refractory jobs
Hands-on experience of handling similar project of same kind.
Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders (Internal and External)
