Construction Project Manager -



General Overview



We are seeking an experienced and highly accountable Construction Project Manager to oversee and deliver construction projects from initiation through completion and close-out. The role involves full ownership of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement coordination, execution, monitoring, documentation, and compliance.

The Construction Project Manager will lead site teams, coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors, manage materials and resources, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within approved budgets, and in accordance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, leadership capability, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining financial and schedule discipline.

Key Objectives of the Role



Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction projects from initiation to close-out. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and execution strategies in alignment with stakeholder and organisational requirements. Ensure timely project delivery within approved budgets, schedules, and quality benchmarks. Establish effective controls for cost, time, resources, risks, and documentation. Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, permits, safety standards, and building codes.

Key Responsibilities



Project Planning & Estimation



Define project scope, deliverables, and execution approach. Prepare construction estimates based on material take-offs (MTOs) and scope requirements. Develop comprehensive project management and execution plans. Establish construction schedules with clear milestones and deliverables.

Budgeting & Cost Control



Create, manage, and control project budgets throughout the project lifecycle. Track actual costs against budgets and identify variances. Manage and document change orders, variations, and additional works. Ensure cost efficiency while maintaining quality and compliance.

Scheduling & Resource Management



Develop detailed construction schedules and monitor progress against approved timelines. Plan and manage resources including construction materials, labour, tools, equipment, and machinery. Allocate and manage logistics for materials, equipment, and manpower. Track inventory of tools, equipment, machinery, and materials to prevent shortages, excess, or losses.

Statutory Approvals, Permits & Regulatory Coordination



Manage all statutory approvals, permits, and clearances required for the project. Prepare, submit, track, and close all approval-related drawings, applications, and compliance documentation. Liaise with regulatory authorities and statutory bodies to secure timely approvals, inspections, and certifications. Ensure compliance with building codes, development regulations, environmental norms, labour laws, and safety requirements. Maintain complete and organised records of all approvals, permits, and statutory correspondence. Track approval timelines, address authority observations proactively, and prevent approval-related delays. Ensure validity of approvals throughout the project and obtain completion, occupancy, and handover certifications.

Procurement & Contract Management



Manage procurement processes, including vendor evaluation, bid assessments, and contractor selection. Negotiate and manage contracts with general contractors and subcontractors. Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely supply of materials as per specifications and schedules. Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure contractual compliance.

Site Execution & Team Management



Oversee day-to-day construction activities and site execution. Supervise the performance of general contractors, site managers, supervisors, and construction crews. Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, quality, and adherence to plans. Lead and coordinate construction teams to ensure productivity and efficient execution.

Quality, Safety & Compliance



Ensure all work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and construction standards. Maintain and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site. Ensure compliance with local building codes, statutory regulations, permits, and licensing requirements. Identify project risks and implement proactive mitigation and corrective measures.

Project Controls, Documentation & Reporting



Establish and maintain structured project control and documentation systems. Manage and update project documentation Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders. Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders and address issues in a timely manner.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication



Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams. Facilitate regular meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and align on objectives. Foster strong working relationships to support smooth project execution.

Skills & Competencies



Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills. Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven capability in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management. High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. Sound understanding of risk management in construction projects.

Education & Training



Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. Strong knowledge of construction management best practices. Proficiency in construction and project management software and tools. Up-to-date knowledge of construction rules, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Work Experience



Minimum 8-10 years of experience in construction project management. Proven experience managing construction budgets, schedules, and site execution. Prior experience managing active construction sites and leading construction crews. Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and multiple construction trades. Demonstrated experience in identifying and managing risks in construction projects.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
