Petrochemicals: Adani Group is making significant strides in the petrochemical landscape with the establishment of its inaugural petrochemical complex, named Green PVC. This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.
Job Purpose: The Construction Instrumentation Lead is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and coordination of installation and commissioning activities for various instruments and OEM packages across process units and offsites. This role ensures that all projects are completed on time and within the defined budget, while adhering to quality and safety standards. The Construction Instrumentation Lead collaborates with multiple internal and Key stakeholders-External:, provides technical guidance, manages resources, and ensures the seamless handover of systems to the Operations & Maintenance team, driving the successful implementation of instrumentation projects in large-scale industrial environments.
Responsibilities:
Construction Instrumentation Lead-PETCHEM
Site Operations & Oversight:
Ensure seamless site operations by managing the installation and commissioning of instrumentation across process units and offsites, maintaining adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
Enhance on-site coordination by effectively communicating with site teams and addressing any operational challenges during instrumentation activities.
Project Planning & Coordination:
Achieve project deadlines by meticulously planning and coordinating all instrumentation tasks, ensuring smooth execution in alignment with project timelines.
Streamline project workflows by developing detailed schedules and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of installation and commissioning activities.
Technical Design Review:
Maintain technical accuracy by reviewing and verifying instrumentation designs and specifications, ensuring all installations meet project requirements and standards.
Resolve technical issues promptly by providing expert guidance and support to the execution team, ensuring alignment with engineering deliverables.
Compliance, Quality & Safety Management:
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards by overseeing all instrumentation activities, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring that installations meet regulatory and project-specific requirements.
Maintain high-quality workmanship by supervising testing and commissioning activities, verifying that all systems function correctly as per quality test parameters and QA plans.
Budget & Cost Control:
Optimize project expenditure by managing budgets effectively, monitoring costs, and ensuring that all instrumentation activities are completed within the allocated financial resources.
Minimize financial risk by forecasting budget requirements and managing vendor contracts and materials procurement efficiently to prevent cost overruns.
Risk & Change Management:
Mitigate project risks by identifying potential challenges related to instrumentation installation and commissioning, developing contingency plans, and implementing proactive measures to avoid delays.
Adapt to changes effectively by assessing the impact of design modifications on project scope and budget, coordinating necessary adjustments with relevant stakeholders.
Team Management:
Lead and develop the team by providing direction, assigning responsibilities, and offering technical support to ensure the successful execution of instrumentation tasks.
Enhance team performance by fostering a collaborative environment, conducting training sessions, and mentoring team members to build technical expertise and operational efficiency.
Commissioning, Handover & Post-construction Support:
Ensure successful system commissioning by overseeing all activities related to the testing and commissioning of installed instruments, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet project specifications.
Facilitate a smooth handover by preparing detailed documentation and coordinating with the O&M team, ensuring they are well-informed and equipped for ongoing operations and maintenance.

Qualifications:
Educational Qualification:
Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation & Control or Electronics & Communication.
Work Experience (Range of years):
Minimum of 12-16 years of experience in executing various instrumentation jobs in large-scale industrial projects.
Hands-on experience as a Lead Engineer in at least two similar projects.
Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) and conducting negotiations with large-scale, high-value vendors.
