Job Title- Assistant Vice President, Security Service Operations
Location- Pune
Role Description
The AVP within SES will have to work in coordination with the staff within the department and with the team managers to ensure all the day to day activities are performed within the agreed SLA\xe2\x80\x99s .
The AVP will also be responsible to work alongside co-AVPs and VPs to address and escalate all risk and operational issues.
Responsible for ensuring that day to day controls are being followed and any risks and issues are escalated and reported on a timely manner.
Other responsibilities include cross -Regulatory reporting, succession planning, Preparation of Management reports and Departmental initiatives, and interfacing with the different departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting within the given timelines.
AVP would also be responsible for other activities like BCM, Audits, Transformation and people related initiatives.

Your key responsibilities
Staff Management
Engage staff in Securities Services/org Initiatives.
Conduct regular 1:1\xe2\x80\x99s with direct reports and conduct team meetings to address issues/ concerns.
Facilitate change initiatives within the team.
Process Management
Manage Settlements and clearing activities as well as Corporate Action lifecycle that are supported from DIPL.
Identifying operational risks proactively and mitigating appropriately.
Have in depth knowledge of Securities Services Life Cycle
Work very closely with the process owners/stakeholders and other internal clients for overall mitigation of risks in the process
Building and refining controls metrics (benchmarks) by involving team and onsite management
Identifies, analyses, and resolves complex problems related to product line or functions using best practices and change precedents to resolve
Reviewing daily benchmark reports for each of the process lines, investigating benchmark breaches with Global counterparts and working to improve the process
Your Skills and experience
10 to 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in investment banking operations/ Custody Operations/ Asset servicing/Securities Operations with at least 7+ years of experience in managing Settlements and Corporate Action functions
Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and complex situations.
Strong English written & verbal skills required. Ability to converse clearly with internal and external staff via telephone and written communication.

Experience of running and managing projects
Graduate in Commerce/ Finance (Preference \xe2\x80\x93 Post Graduate/ MBA)
Coaching and feedback ability
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Ready to travel as and when required
