Job Title & Summary
As a Configuration Manager at XBP Global, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information about all IT assets and their relationships within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). You will establish configuration management processes, oversee asset lifecycle management, and ensure data integrity to support effective decision-making across all ITSM processes. This role requires an experienced professional with strong data management capabilities and understanding of IT infrastructure relationships to build a world-class configuration management practice.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain Configuration Management Database (CMDB) architecture and data model Establish configuration item (CI) identification, categorization, and relationship mapping procedures Coordinate with IT Asset Management (ITAM) team to ensure accurate asset inventory and lifecycle tracking Implement automated discovery tools and processes for configuration data collection and updates Conduct regular CMDB audits and data quality assessments to ensure accuracy and completeness Define configuration baselines and manage configuration control throughout asset lifecycles Support Impact Assessment activities by providing accurate CI relationship and dependency information Collaborate with Change Management to ensure configuration updates align with approved changes Generate configuration reports and metrics for stakeholders and compliance requirements Drive integration between CMDB and other ITSM tools for streamlined process automation


NICE TO HAVE SkillsITIL Intermediate certification with specialization in Service Transition ServiceNow certification (CSA/CAD preferred) ServiceNow CMDB Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification IT Asset Management (ITAM) professional certifications (IAITAM, IBCA) Experience with cloud infrastructure discovery and hybrid environment mapping Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools for configuration management Background in data governance, master data management, or business intelligence Experience with software asset management and license compliance Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and configuration security baselines
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in ITSM and IT Operations

ITIL v4 Foundation certification (mandatory)

CMDB foundation establishment and data migration from 3

party tool to ServiceNow

Experience in deployment of Discovery tool in ServiceNow

Experience with enterprise-level incident management processes

Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices

Proven track record in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration

MUST HAVE Skills

Expert knowledge of ITIL Configuration Management processes and CMDB best practices

Proven experience managing enterprise CMDB implementations and data governance

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components and their interdependencies

Experience with automated discovery tools and configuration management platforms

Excellent data analysis and data quality management capabilities

Knowledge of asset lifecycle management and ITAM integration principles

Understanding of database management, data modeling, and relationship mapping

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
