Job Description

Responsibility and Mandate: (Main responsibilities in terms of budget, personnel, processes etc.) ? Create product prototypes and support in mapping the process for commercialisation ? Associate closely with the marketing team in the consumer research process. ? Closely working with Marketing Team and capturing the insights and feedback, while effectively linking international innovations that matter in making a difference to the business. ? Generate alternative formulation and manufacturing processes for changing market needs i.e. taste, texture and pricing. ? Standardize and outline the cooking process from the home style cooking perspective. ? Work with Culinary Analyst to optimize the delivery of nutrition through the recipes & cooking practices. ? Establishes quality standards for all menu items and for food production practices. ? Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities ? Maintaining impeccable personal hygiene as well as high work and safety standards in the workplace. ? Offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrate culinary techniques to staff. ? Liaise with Educational Institutions to develop trainee programs and build and leverage relationships. ? Provide content and knowledge to the marketing team to upload and manage the internet site on a regular basis. ? Develop customized products that can sell in food services (HORECA). Main Challenges in this Position (or Company/Division/BU): (List the 4-5 biggest challenges business-wise, organisational, cultural etc.) ? Plan, design and execute Eastern Centre of Excellence concept for research work in Identified authentic South Indian Cuisine domain. ? Continuously evaluate existing formulations, ingredients and manufacturing process for effectiveness of cost and functionality ? Continuously bench mark the competing and new products in the market for functionality and costs. Replicate or upgrade MTR product as appropriate. ? Conduct research and develop the recipes of dishes, masalas, gravies and cooking pastes from different regions of South India. Eastern Condiments Pvt Ltd.
