to train visually impaired (blind) girls in basic to intermediate computer skills. The trainer will play a key role in empowering students with digital literacy and enhancing their employability and independence.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct computer training sessions for blind/visually impaired girls.
Teach basic computer operations, including:
Keyboard usage and shortcuts
Basic computer concepts
MS Office (Word, Excel, basic PowerPoint)
Internet usage and email handling
Use and train students on
screen reader software
(e.g., NVDA, JAWS, or similar).
Prepare simple, accessible learning materials as per students' needs.
Maintain a supportive, patient, and inclusive learning environment.
Track students' progress and provide feedback to the organization.
Coordinate with the organization's staff for scheduling and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Basic to good knowledge of computers and MS Office.
Familiarity with screen readers (preferred; training can be provided if needed).
Good communication skills in
Hindi and/or English
.
High level of patience, empathy, and commitment to social work.
Prior experience teaching or training is an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates with experience working with specially-abled students will be preferred.
Freshers with strong computer skills and a passion for teaching are welcome to apply.
Ability to adapt teaching methods based on students' learning pace.
Working Hours
3-4 hours per day
Flexible timing (as per mutual discussion)
