Timing is 7am to 6pm India Time

45 minutes Lunch Break

Work From home at the moment

this is full time and not a contract job

A Computer or PC Technician installs, maintains, and repairs computer systems, both hardware and software, for individuals or organizations. They diagnose and resolve technical issues, provide support to users, and ensure optimal performance of computer systems. This role can involve tasks like troubleshooting, system upgrades, network configuration, and security management. Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting and Repair:

Identifying and resolving hardware and software issues on computers and peripherals.

Installation and Configuration:

Setting up new computer systems, installing software, and configuring networks.

System Maintenance:

Performing routine maintenance tasks like software updates, security patches, and system backups.

Technical Support:

Providing assistance to users via phone, email, or in-person, explaining technical concepts and guiding them through solutions.

Network Management:

Managing network components, ensuring connectivity, and implementing security measures.

User Training:

Educating users on proper usage of hardware and software, including new applications and security practices.

Documentation:

Maintaining records of repairs, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Proficiency:

Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.

Communication Skills:

Clear and concise communication to explain technical information to users with varying levels of technical expertise.

Patience and Empathy:

Ability to remain calm and helpful when dealing with frustrated users or complex technical problems.

Certifications:

A+ or Network+ certifications can be beneficial but are not always required.
Career Progression:

Junior Technician:

Focuses on basic troubleshooting and support tasks.

Senior Technician:

Handles more complex issues, mentors junior staff, and may oversee IT operations.

Specialized Roles:

May move into roles focused on specific areas like network administration, cybersecurity, or system administration.
