Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join our team at New Town, Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have a B.Ed degree and a sound understanding of computer science fundamentals, programming, and modern educational technology tools. You will be responsible for teaching computer science to students , ensuring they gain practical and theoretical knowledge in the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver computer science lessons in line with the prescribed CBSE curriculum. Teach programming languages such as Scratch, Python, Java, or HTML/CSS, based on grade level. Explain computer fundamentals, digital literacy, and cyber safety. Conduct interactive activities to develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills. Prepare lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and maintain academic records. Organize computer-based projects, coding competitions, and technology events. Incorporate digital tools and smart classroom technologies into teaching. Provide academic support to students through remedial classes or mentoring. Collaborate with faculty to enhance the school's STEM and ICT programs. Participate in professional development and stay updated with technological trends in education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate/Postgraduate in Computer Science/IT . B.Ed. is mandatory (as per CBSE Board guidelines). Familiarity with the CBSE curriculum. Fluent English communications and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in classroom and online teaching tools (e.g., Google Classroom, MS Teams). Ability to engage students and maintain classroom discipline.

Preferred:

Certification in Python, Java, Web Development, or other relevant technologies. Experience in teaching coding or robotics clubs is a plus. Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities and school development programs.
