Job Description

The PGT - Computer Science is responsible for delivering effective and engaging instruction in Computer Science to senior secondary students (Classes XI and XII) as per the CBSE curriculum. The role focuses on developing students' programming skills, computational thinking, and problem-solving abilities while preparing them for board examinations and future academic pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver Computer Science lessons in accordance with the CBSE syllabus. Teach programming languages such as

Python / C++

and related concepts as prescribed by CBSE. Explain core topics including data structures, algorithms, databases, networking, and cybersecurity basics. Conduct practical lab sessions and ensure effective hands-on learning. Prepare lesson plans, assignments, projects, question papers, and practical assessments. Assess, evaluate, and record student performance in theory and practical examinations. Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations and internal assessments. Integrate ICT tools, smart classrooms, and digital resources into teaching. Maintain computer lab discipline, safety, and proper usage of systems. Keep updated records of attendance, assessments, and academic progress. Participate in academic planning, curriculum development, and departmental meetings. Communicate student progress to parents during PTMs. Take part in school activities, workshops, trainings, and professional development programmes.

Qualifications:

Educational Qualification:

M.Sc. Computer Science / MCA / M.Tech (Computer Science / IT) B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms)

Experience:

Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience at the Senior Secondary level (CBSE preferred)
