Job Title: Computer Operator

Job Summary:

We require a Computer Operator with excellent attention to detail and technical expertise to command and supervise computer systems and operational tasks. Our employee should maintain system efficiency and job processing speed while protecting IT infrastructure according to standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Observe mainframe and server systems along with computer systems to track performance levels and their availability.

The employee will perform standard hardware and software maintenance activities on computer systems.

You must enter instructions into the system while watching its responses to verify proper function.

You need to identify system malfunctions and errors then report them to management.

The employee will monitor backup and restore operations to maintain both data integrity and availability standards.

The employee will document all system activities and prepare reports that describe system performance and any problems encountered.

You should apply standard data protection and system security protocols to maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications:

The candidate should hold a high school diploma or its equivalent and should ideally possess an associate degree or technical certification in IT or computer science.

Candidates must have prior work experience in computer operation and related fields.

Operating systems for Windows, Linux, and UNIX and enterprise software systems should be familiar to the candidate.

The candidate should have basic knowledge about network systems and data backup operations and system recovery methods.

The candidate should be available for shift work which may include weekends and nights as needed.

Work Environment:

The employee will work in an office setting or a data center environment.

The job requires extended periods of sitting while performing screen monitoring duties.

The employee uses standard office equipment and computers for daily operations.

Pay: ?23,546.92 - ?34,891.86 per month
