Job Description

Monitors and controls computer systems, ensuring proper hardware and software function, data integrity, and system uptime.

Key responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, installing updates, inputting commands, resolving hardware/software issues, managing data backups, and documenting operations. While formal education isn't always required, skills in problem-solving, technical knowledge of various operating systems, and the ability to follow directions are essential.

Responsibilities

System Monitoring:

Continuously watch computer systems and networks to ensure smooth operation and identify any malfunctions or error messages.

Routine Maintenance:

Perform regular maintenance tasks on hardware and software, including installations, updates, and configurations.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, escalating issues to technicians when necessary.

Data Management:

Oversee data processing operations, perform data backups, and maintain the security and integrity of computer networks.

System Operation:

Input commands, manage job execution, and operate peripheral data processing equipment.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed records of system performance, maintenance, and user support requests.
