Job Description

Responsibilities:

Data Management:

Accurately inputting and updating detailed information for jewellery items, including weights, metal purity, gemstone details, item codes, and pricing.

Inventory Control:

Maintaining updated records of jewellery stock, ensuring accurate tracking of materials, finished goods, and diamonds.

Sales & Order Processing:

Managing data related to customer orders, sales transactions, and billing within jewellery-specific software.

Report Generation:

Creating and preparing various reports for management, such as sales reports, inventory reports, or production summaries.

Data Quality & Security:

Verifying the accuracy and consistency of data, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining the confidentiality and proper security of sensitive business and customer information.

System Maintenance:

Performing routine checks and maintenance on computer systems and hardware, and applying software updates to ensure the integrity of databases and ERP systems.

Key Skills:

Proficiency in Jewellery Software:

Expertise in using specialized software for inventory management, order processing, and data management.

Computer Skills:

Strong proficiency in standard software like MS Excel and potentially accounting software like Tally.

Attention to Detail:

The ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping, as errors can lead to significant financial losses.

Problem-Solving:

Identifying and resolving issues related to computer systems, software, or data.

Communication:

Collaborating with other departments (production, sales, accounts) to ensure smooth data flow and effective operations.

Industry Knowledge:

Familiarity with jewellery-related terminology, such as metals, gemstones, and diamond details.
