Job Description

Key Responsibilities

System Monitoring & Operation:

Start and monitor batch jobs, input commands, adjust settings, and ensure systems follow production schedules.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve hardware/software malfunctions, error messages, and connectivity issues.

Maintenance:

Perform routine preventative maintenance, install updates, clean equipment, and manage supply inventory.

Data Management:

Execute data processing, perform backups to prevent data loss, and generate reports.

User Support:

Respond to user inquiries, provide technical guidance, and resolve problems for internal and external customers.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain logs, update procedures, and record system performance.

Security:

Ensure the confidentiality and security of company information.
Typical Environment

Server rooms or data centers. Working with various hardware (servers, printers, peripherals) and software. Often involves shift work or being on call.
Required Skills & Qualities

Strong understanding of computer systems, hardware, and software. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work quickly under pressure. Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures. Good communication skills for user interaction.
