A Computer Operator (Data Entry) inputs and maintains data in digital systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to confidentiality. Key responsibilities include transcribing data from various formats, verifying information, correcting errors, performing backups, generating reports, and maintaining organized digital records. The role demands excellent typing skills, strong attention to detail, proficiency with computer applications, and organizational skills to meet deadlines. Key Responsibilities Data Input & Update: Accurately enter, update, and maintain data into computer systems, databases, and spreadsheets. Data Verification & Correction: Review and verify data for accuracy and consistency, identify discrepancies, and make necessary corrections. Record Keeping: Organize and manage digital files, maintain databases, and ensure data integrity and security. Data Retrieval & Reporting: Retrieve data and generate reports, spreadsheets, and data sets as needed by other departments or management. Data Backup & Security: Perform regular data backups to prevent data loss and handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Required Skills & Qualifications Typing Skills: Fast and accurate typing speed is crucial for efficient data entry. Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail is essential for ensuring data accuracy and identifying errors. Computer Proficiency: Strong knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and specialized data entry programs.
