Job Overview:

A Computer Embroidery Designer uses specialized software to create digital embroidery patterns for apparel, accessories, and textiles. This role involves turning artistic concepts into stitch-ready files that embroidery machines can read and execute with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development:

Create original embroidery designs using software like Wilcom, Tajima DG/ML, Pulse, or Hatch. Convert hand-drawn sketches or client concepts into digital embroidery files. Customize existing designs to meet client specifications or market trends.

Digitizing:

Digitize artwork into stitch files, optimizing for stitch density, direction, and fabric type. Ensure efficient thread use and minimize thread breaks or unnecessary trims.

Machine Testing:

Test stitch-outs on different fabrics to check for accuracy and quality. Adjust and troubleshoot design files based on test results.

Collaboration:

Work with fashion designers, product developers, and production teams. Understand fabric behavior, thread types, and machine capabilities.

File Management & Documentation:

Maintain organized libraries of embroidery designs and settings. Accurately label and store files for future use or reproduction.

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in embroidery design software (e.g., Wilcom, Pulse, Tajima). Understanding of embroidery machines and their operational needs. Knowledge of stitch types, densities, and fabric-handling.

Design Skills:

Strong sense of aesthetics, color, and design principles. Ability to visualize and execute creative ideas in stitch form.

Other Skills:

Attention to detail and quality control. Good communication and time-management abilities. Problem-solving aptitude for correcting design or production issues.

Expirence

Should have knowledge of WINGS software 4-5 years of experience in embroidery digitizing
