We are seeking a motivated Composite Technician Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing and repair of composite materials and components. The intern will assist in the production, inspection, and maintenance of composite parts, learning industry-standard processes and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, layup, and curing of composite materials (e.g., carbon fiber, fiberglass) under supervision.
Support technicians in the fabrication and assembly of composite parts following engineering drawings and work instructions.
Conduct visual inspections and basic non-destructive testing (NDT) on composite components.
Help with trimming, sanding, and finishing composite parts to meet quality standards.
Maintain clean and organized workspaces, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Document production activities and report any defects or discrepancies to supervisors.
Learn and adhere to industry best practices in composite manufacturing.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to develop technical skills.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
Basic understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Strong safety awareness and willingness to adhere to workplace safety standards.
Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
