Job Title: Compliance Officer - NBFC
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Compliance Officer to ensure that the NBFC operates in full compliance with RBI regulations, applicable laws, and internal policies. The role involves monitoring regulatory changes, managing compliance processes, and acting as a liaison with regulators.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with RBI Act, Master Directions, and circulars applicable to NBFCs
Monitor regulatory updates and ensure timely implementation across the organization
Develop, review, and update compliance policies, SOPs, and internal controls
Oversee KYC, AML, and CFT compliance and reporting
Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory returns to RBI and other authorities
Conduct periodic compliance audits and risk assessments
Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions
Act as the primary point of contact for regulators, auditors, and inspectors
Conduct compliance training and awareness programs for employees
Report compliance status, breaches, and risks to senior management and the Board
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration
Experience
3-8 years of relevant experience in compliance, legal, audit, or risk functions
Prior experience in an NBFC, bank, or financial institution is highly preferred
