Job Summary
We are looking for a well-rounded, fast learner to join our Engineering Team. A successful Technical Engineer will be able to bridge the gap between technical skills and financial industry knowledge to deliver successful customized system implementations for our clients. You will work closely with the rest of the engineering team, other internal teams, and with clients as your knowledge and product experience grows. The ideal candidate will be motivated to learn new skills and technology, as well as focused on the client experience - helping our clients achieve the best possible outcomes for their business.
Responsibilities

• Implement and configure the software to meet business requirements.
• Understand the clients' business needs related to the software and provide consultative solutions.
• Understand the functional impact of various configuration options and offer recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams: Business Analysts, Technical Solutions, QA, and Product.
• Build product knowledge through training, self-directed research/testing, and working with senior team members.
• Create custom reports using advanced query writing skills.
• Implement interface to third party systems using XSLT, XML, and SQL technologies.
• Develop an expertise within our provided software solutions and be able to communicate and train others with that expertise, both internally and externally.
• Produce documentation appropriate for both a technical and business facing audience.
• Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Proficiency with SQL, T-SQL or other direct coding experience
• Ability to read and breakdown complex Excel formulas including but not limited to lookup and array functions
• Understanding of financial terms and ability to translate into Technical Requirements
• Strong understanding of Private Credit/ABL/CLO or Trade Portfolio/Investment Compliance preferred
• Financial software implementation/ project management / business analysis / system delivery experience preferred
• Must be a resourceful problem solver and self-starter, and able to communicate effectively
• Desire to learn new skills, technology platforms and further finance knowledge
• Experience working with Jira and Agile Practice a plus
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and be adept at listening and soliciting feedback
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and successfully manage multiple competing priorities
• Detail-oriented & strong work ethic

Education/Certifications

• Bachelors degree in related discipline
• Computer skills:

• Git

• Jira
• English (reading, writing, verbal)
