Post: Community Organiser

Key Responsibilities

:

Mobilising young women in communities for events through field visits

Selection of deserving young women for educational scholarships

Organising programs and conducting trainings

Organising workshops in skill building

. Building rapport with young women

. Maintaining data in Excel

Required Qualification and Abilities:

Bachelor's in Social Work or Social Sciences

No Experience or 1 year

Organizational abilities

Good communication skills in Hindi and Marathi

Computer skills in Word and Excel and ppt

Have a gregarious and people-oriented nature

Salary:

- According to Social Work college scales, experience and educational qualifications.

- Regular increments, medical and accident insurance, gratuity and benefits after confirmation

- Causal, Sick and Privileged Leaves

Akshara is a not-for-profit, Mumbai based women's organisation working for the empowerment of young women and girls. Our focus is on education of young women and the elimination of violence. We train young men and women in understanding violence and taking social actions for its prevention and on doing advocacy with the police, transport authorities and govt. for a Safe City.
