The Community Mobilizer is responsible for identifying, engaging, and motivating youth from the community to join the livelihood and skilling programs. This role involves field visits, relationship-building with local stakeholders, and ensuring a continuous pipeline of eligible candidates for training batches.
2. Key Responsibilities
Field Mobilization & Outreach
Conduct regular field visits in communities, slums, schools, colleges, and local markets.
Identify prospective youth for various training programs.
Organize community meetings, awareness drives, personal counselling, and group sessions.
Promote centre activities through door-to-door outreach, pamphlet distribution, and events.
Conduct mobilization campaigns with NGOs, SHGs, ward offices, and community leaders.
Networking & Partnerships
Build and maintain relationships with:
Local leaders, panchayats, ward members
Schools, colleges, VTPs
Youth groups, SHGs, women collectives
Community-based organizations (CBOs)
Coordinate with government bodies, placement agencies, and employers for outreach support.
Student Counselling & Enrolment
Screen and counsel youth on suitable courses based on eligibility and aspiration.
Support trainees with documentation, registration forms, and admission process.
Ensure smooth batch formation with required minimum enrolment as per project norms.
Maintain database of leads, enquiries, and mobilization status.
Centre Support & Reporting
Work closely with trainers, placement officers, and centre staff.
Participate in orientation sessions and assist in centre-level events.
Maintain daily field reports, mobilization tracker, and student MIS.
Provide feedback on field challenges and community needs.
3. Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 12th pass; Graduate preferred.
1-3 years of experience in community mobilization, field work, NGO/CSR programs, or sales/outreach.
Ability to travel extensively within the assigned community.
Local area knowledge is essential.
Good communication skills in local language and Hindi.
4. Key Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Comfortable with fieldwork and community engagement.
Ability to motivate and counsel youth from diverse backgrounds.
Basic computer skills (MS Office, WhatsApp, Google Forms).
Target-oriented approach with good record-keeping.
