Scope of Position

This is a field-level position for Oxfam India, responsible for supporting the HDFC funded project. Holistic Rural Development Programme (HRDP) is a part of HDFC Bank's CSR initiatives with 'Creating Sustainable Communities' as its underlying philosophy.

The Project will aim to 'Create Sustainable Communities' by Socio-Economic Empowerment of marginal communities by enhancing sustainable livelihood options and improving essential services through Women centric approach.

The incumbent will be responsible to implement the project at village level that encompasses all the components of the project such as agriculture, livelihoods, education, health or any other and will also be responsible for liasoning with line department at village level and establishing linkage with other stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

  • To Work in conjunction with the project implementation team at village level
  • Assists other staff members (District/Cluster Coordinator) in providing quality and timely technical inputs and support.
  • Liaises with communities and local authorities on a day-to-day basis and ensures active involvement of local communities and other stakeholders to coordinate activities and ensure active participation of beneficiaries and other sectoral groups.
  • Collects relevant data and information necessary for program and project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Establish and manage working relation with diverse set of stakeholders and government departments.
  • Furnish interim and final reports, case studies, notes, pictures and other updates on the project as required
  • Support in MIS and reporting as per monitoring framework of the project.
  • Support in periodic review and planning meeting with project implementation team.
  • Support in and actively participate in and contribute to all team processes leading to programme development, management and effective functioning of the team s/he is part of.
  • To contribute to the regional team goal by working effectively as a team player adopting collaborative & consultative ways of working
Skill and Competence
  • Intermediate (+2) in any discipline.
  • Substantial knowledge and experience in the development field (at least 1-2 years)
Experience in coordinating village level activities

Good communications and presentation skills, both written and oral, in Hindi and local language

Sound understanding of social issues in communities

Proactive and self-motivated individual capable of engaging persuasively with various stakeholders

Prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Sensitivity to gender and diversity issues
  • Good interpersonal skills to work as part of a team
Relocation

During the course of employment the post holder may be required to move base on a temporary or permanent basis to any workplace controlled by Oxfam India

Travel

Willingness to travel and undertake sustained fieldwork as per requirement of the particular position
