Rising Star Outreach of India started in 2004 to work for the upliftment of People Affected by Leprosy. RSOI provides three major activities for these People: 1. Education, 2. Medical, and 3. Colony Development Activities.

Residential Schools started to give education to the children of Persons affected by Leprosy. From 1st Standard to 12th Standard, we have 300 plus students staying in our Residential School. We provide free quality Education, food, and accommodation for Children from a background of leprosy.

Community Development Coordinator :

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Community Development Coordinator to oversee initiatives in our Andhra and Telangana States. This role will involve engaging with local communities, identifying their needs, and implementing development programs that promote social and economic welfare. A strong background in community organizing, program management, and stakeholder engagement is essential. I. The Community Development Coordinator / Social Worker will work with the following stakeholders in the Leprosy Colonies



Leprosy-affected person

Family members of the leprosy-affected person

Self Help Groups and Welfare Committees in the leprosy colonies

Children, Youth, adults and elderly people in the leprosy colonies.

Other stakeholders who work in the field of Leprosy.

II.

Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Field Visit to all the leprosy colonies situated in the State of Tamil Nadu and other States if required. Willing to travel to leprosy communities for field work.

2. To work with individuals, groups and communities in the leprosy field.

3. Formation of Self-Help Groups and Welfare Committees in the colonies.

4. Training and supervision of the Self Help Groups and Welfare Committee in the colonies.

5. Assessment of the request, writing up assessments that meet specified standards and timescales and submission on time.

6. To do defaulter retrieval and motivate the groups to function effectively.

7. Ability to work independently, handle multiple assignments and prioritise work as per the needs.

8. Work together with all people, staff members as well as other units and assist each other to achieve the task as and when required

9. Flexibilities in working, ability to understand and address specific requirements

10. Need assessment, Planning, Implementation and monitoring the social work unit's activities in the colonies.

11. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures.

12. Maintenance of Accurate Records, Discussion, Preparation of Action Plans and submission to the Unit Head.

13. Periodical reporting of activities and submission of weekly reports to the Community Development Manager

14. Facilitate the colony people to share knowledge and resources effectively.

15. To participate in quality reviews, reporting is needed as per the requirement.

16. Participate and contribute collective effort to accomplish the target as and when needed.

17. Maintenance of Confidentiality, discipline and professionalism in the field and office premise

18. Monitoring of action plans for periodic follow-up and reporting.

19. Planning and conducting social welfare workshops and camps.

20. Collection and data analysis to evaluate the impact of programs and other services assigned by management.

21. Maintain student records, confidential records, records of services provided, and behavioural data.

22. Any other duties as assigned by the management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?35,000.00 per month
