Summary
We are looking for a committed and creative Communications & PR Associate with strong skills in writing, digital media, communication planning, and relationship management. The role involves leading communication initiatives, building the organization's public presence, supporting survivor-related communication, and strengthening connections with media, donors, and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Communications & PR
Develop and implement integrated communication and PR strategies aligned with the Chhanv Foundation's mission and programs.
Design and execute awareness campaigns highlighting the Foundation's activism, advocacy, and research work.
Build and maintain strong media relations; identify and engage with journalists, artists, influencers, and partners.
Prepare communication materials for media interactions, meetings, presentations, and interviews.
Content Creation & Digital Media
Create high-quality content, including newsletters, blogs, reports, press notes, social media posts, graphics, and website updates.
Maintain and enhance the organization's online presence across website and social media platforms.
Lead multimedia content production such as podcasts, interviews, and video editing.
Work with the social media marketing team to plan and promote events and campaigns effectively.
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate meetings, calls, visits, and event-related logistics including scheduling, materials preparation, and communication support.
Manage outgoing email communication with donors, partners, supporters, and media outlets.
Share daily/weekly reports and updates on ongoing events, campaigns, and assigned tasks with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams and maintain effective communication with senior management.
Survivor Communication & Support
Co-manage communication activities involving survivors and maintain positive internal relationships.
Assist survivors with inquiries, challenges, and benefits covered under the organizational policy.
Ensure all communication involving survivors adheres to ethical, sensitive, and organizational standards.
Events & Outreach
Support planning and execution of public events, outreach activities, campaigns, and donor engagements.
Create roadmaps and communication plans for events, ensuring smooth coordination and adherence to standards.
Work closely with partners, technicians, and collaborators to ensure quality execution.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Mass Media, or related fields.
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Strong design sense; ability to create graphics and digital collaterals.
Hands-on experience with social media management and digital communications.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a highly collaborative environment.
Empathy, patience, and commitment to working closely with survivors.
Knowledge of multimedia tools (video editing, podcasts, reels) will be an added advantage.
