Job Description

The Communications Officer will be responsible for managing internal and external communications of the organization, supporting documentation and reporting requirements, and ensuring effective coordination for meetings, events, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires strong writing, coordination, and organizational skills to support program visibility and institutional communication.

Key Responsibilities



Draft, edit, and review organizational communications including reports, concept notes, briefs, presentations, and official correspondence. Develop and manage content for organizational platforms such as websites, newsletters, social media, and donor communications. Support program teams in documentation of meetings, workshops, field activities, and project outcomes. Prepare minutes of meetings (MoMs), action points, and follow-up documentation. Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders to ensure timely information flow. Assist in preparing communication materials for proposals, donor reporting, and advocacy initiatives. Maintain organized records of communication materials, media coverage, and program documentation. Ensure consistency in messaging and adherence to organizational branding and communication guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills



Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field. Minimum 2- 5 years of relevant experience in communications, documentation, or reporting, preferably in the NGO / CSO sector. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi and/or regional languages is an advantage. Proven ability to draft clear, concise, and professional documents. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic digital communication tools. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Desirable Attributes



Experience working with donor-funded projects and multi-stakeholder environments. Basic understanding of development sector communication and advocacy. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in team settings.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
