Job Description


Summary The GE Aerospace Advanced Research Communications Leader (Bangalore) is responsible for all Communications at the GE Aeropace Advanced Research Group in Bangalore, India. They will execute all Communications activities that align with business priorities. Their scope of responsibility will cover marketing communications, media & PR, executive communications, and internal communications. He/she will act as a key advisor to the Advanced Research Leadership Team in Bangalore.



Roles and Responsibilities

  • This position will direct and lead all communications in Banglaore: its priorities, processes, KPIs, tools, resources, and budgets.
  • Develop creative vehicles to ensure both internal and external stakeholders understand GE Aerospace Advanced Research, Bangalore\'s purpose, strategy, capabilities and skills.
  • Serve as a Communications subject matter expert to leaders across the site/campus.
  • Develop communications to ensure they support the goals, objectives, and priorities of the leadershpi team in Banglaore and also the overall purpoise and strategy of GE Aerospace Advanced Research Group globally
  • Oversee all marketing communications activities including customer communications, creative content, web & social content relating to Advanced Research, events and conferences.
  • Lead internal communications to ensure all employees are connected to the strategy and purpose of the group, and regularly updated on business performance, technologies and people achievements. Help create an environment and culture that celebrates inclusion & diversity, compliance, safety, transparency, and honesty.
  • Manage relationships with key local media and press representatives. Pitches effectively to media, to achieve earned media reach and a competitive share of voice.
  • Manage the communication function processes and procedures to ensure all are followed, and all deliverables are on time, on spec and on budget.
  • Identify and maximize speaking opportunities for company executives to help promote our company and tell our story.
  • Identify all annual budget requirements for the function to operate effectively. Execute on agreed financial operating plans.
  • Continually evaluate processes, standard work and functional tools, to see how they can improve the work of the function.
Required Qualifications

Degree in Communications, Media/PR, Journalism, HR, Marketing, or related field.
Technical background and/or expertise working in a highly technical environment
Fluent and/or excellent verbal/written skills in English.
Significant experience leading the Communications/PR function.
Proven experience in multinational corporation and/or international comms agency.
