Role: Communication Officer, Mumbai
Experience: 1-2 years | Salary up to 4.5 LPAPOSITION SUMMARYThe communications officer plays a crucial role in planning and executing the organization's internal and external communications strategies. Based in Mumbai, this position will be instrumental in developing engaging content, managing social media presence, and ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms to enhance the organization's visibility and impact.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES

  • Social Media Management:
  • Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conceptualize and create engaging content (text, images, videos) for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and the company website.
  • Ensure timely updates and maintain a consistent brand voice across all social media channels.
  • Plan and execute regular social media campaigns based on organizational activities, events, updates, and relevant national/international days.
  • Maintain a comprehensive communications calendar.
  • Coordinate with website vendors for development and timely content updates.
  • Regularly update website content, including images and videos, independently or in collaboration with the program executive.
  • Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Content Writing & Editing:
  • Write and edit various communication materials as required by different teams.
  • Coordinate with the Program Executive to develop compelling patient case stories.
  • Ensure all content on social media and the website is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with the organization's messaging.
  • Cross-Functional Support:
  • Support the Development Manager in creating communication collateral.
  • Actively participate in team and organizational development activities.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning new skills and contributing to new initiatives.
  • Quality & Accuracy:
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail and a high level of commitment to accuracy in all communication outputs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mass Media or Mass Communications.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant work experience in the communication space. Experience in the social sector is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional fluency in both written and spoken English and Hindi.
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills with creative thinking abilities.
  • Understanding of social media best practices for various platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of photography and videography (shooting and editing).
  • Working knowledge of design software such as Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and CorelDraw (preferred).
  • Interest or background in public health is preferred; experience in advertising/PR is an advantage.
COMPETENCIES
  • Functional:
  • Keen interest in staying updated with the latest social media trends.
  • Good command over spoken and written English and Hindi.
  • Basic photography and video skills.
  • Familiarity with design software (preferred).
  • Public health interest/background or advertising/PR experience (advantage).
