Commodities Trader
.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end trading of rice, sugar, and edible oils in both domestic and international markets.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, buyers, and distributors.
Monitor market trends, pricing, and demand-supply dynamics to identify trading opportunities.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with clients and vendors.
Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Track competitor activities and market developments for strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with company policies, import/export regulations, and quality standards.
Requirements
Minimum
2-5 years of proven experience
in commodities trading (preferably in
rice, sugar, or edible oils
).
Prior experience in the
FMCG / food products industry
is mandatory.
Strong negotiation, networking, and analytical skills.
Good knowledge of domestic and international commodity markets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with strong business acumen.
Compensation
Salary will be based on
last drawn CTC
and industry standards.
