About Alstom in India

Alstom has established a strong presence in India.Currently, the company is executing metro projects inseveral Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi andLucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stockmanufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCityin Andhra Pradesh. In the Mainline space, Alstom isexecuting Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343Km. section on World Bank funded Eastern DedicatedFreight Corridor. Phase 1 in the construction of thenew electric locomotive factory for manufacturing andsupply of 800 units of 12000HP locomotives is alsocomplete at Madhepura, Bihar while the depot atSaharanpur, Uttar Pradesh is ready to commenceoperation. Supplier scouting and development for India and APACregion

Strong involvement and implementation of commoditiesstrategy

Responsible for commodity QCDT and legal supplierperformance management

Operational sourcing responsibility on negotiation,cross sites/businesses bundling

Responsible for New supplier homologation roadmap

Supplier relationship

:

Supplier scouting and development for India and APACRegion

Driving the roadmap defined with the GlobalCommodity Team

Lead supplier QCDT performance reviews, Ensureglobal QCDT targets achievement, CONQ & claimsmanagement for the suppliers in charge

Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering tothe highest standards of ethical conduct.

Commodity support:

Commodity representative to Projects, Tenders,Aftermarket activities

Consolidation of commodity needs, inputs

Active participation to commodity strategy and panelelaboration

According to delegation, define a strategy for specificsegment

Build Sourcing Tender commitment

In charge of Buyer activity on specific segment

Effective teamwork with internal customers andstakeholders in problem solving

Apply the Alstom Transport Sourcing process andprovide return on experience.

Operational involvement:

Educational Requirements

BE or MBA

Specialization in Purchasing & Supply Chain will be anadded advantage

Experience

Overall Experience between 6 to 10 years in Industry

Minimum 3 years of Experience in Purchasing/ SupplyChain function

Strong footing in Technical, Quality & Commercialtopics

Behavioural Competencies & Skills

Strong interpersonal skills (leadership, communication,ability to convince)

Communication skills - fluent in English (oral/written)
