Job Purpose:
The Commissioning & Testing Engineer is responsible for testing, calibrating, and commissioning special-purpose machines (SPMs) to ensure reliable functionality and performance as per design specifications. The role involves mechanical, electrical, and control integration checks, troubleshooting, documentation, and technical support during internal trials and customer site commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-commissioning inspection, verification, and functional testing of assembled SPMs.
Perform I/O checking, interlock verification, and control system validation as per design and PLC logic.
Identify, analyze, and resolve mechanical, electrical, or control system issues during machine trials.
Coordinate with design, electrical, and mechanical assembly teams for modifications or corrections.
Execute machine startup and commissioning at customer locations, ensuring proper operation and safety compliance.
Carry out performance testing, calibration, and final acceptance trials as per customer requirements.
Maintain and update commissioning and testing reports, protocols, and checklists.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances or performance deviations.
Guide technicians during machine trials and ensure adherence to 5S, quality, and safety standards.
Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance product reliability and commissioning efficiency.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of mechatronic systems including electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical integration.
Proficiency in reading and troubleshooting mechanical layouts, electrical schematics, and PLC wiring diagrams.
Familiarity with industrial automation systems, sensors, and actuators.
Hands-on experience in PLC programming checks, parameter settings, and control logic validation.
Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication skills for internal coordination and customer interactions.
Strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Work Environment:
Shop-floor and field-based role involving machine trials, commissioning activities, and occasional travel to customer sites.
Requires adherence to safety standards and use of PPE during machine testing and commissioning operations.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
