Job Description

1.Develop all types of switchyard layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), plant and section drawings, and indoor/outdoor cable trenches.
2.Design various types of switchyard schemes and layouts based on project requirements.
3.Ensure compliance with CEA guidelines, IEEE standards, IS/IEC codes, and Indian Electrical Rules (IE Rules) for substation design.
4.Perform earthing design calculations (IEEE-80), prepare earthing layouts, and define earthing philosophy.
5.Conduct DSLP (Design Short-Circuit Loss Power) calculations, SC force (IEC-865), sag tension (IS 5613), and busbar calculations.
6.Design and review switchyard structures including line gantries, busbars, beams & columns, and equipment structures.
7.Design indoor and outdoor illumination systems for the switchyard.
8.Prepare switchyard equipment specifications, evaluate vendors, and review/approve equipment drawings and documents.
9.Finalize LT and DC system SLDs, perform DC system sizing calculations, and interface with civil engineering teams for switchyard integration.
